BLACKFINN CLOSED FOREVER IN BETHESDA (PHOTOS)

BlackFinn has confirmed they have permanently closed in Bethesda. It is unclear why the popular nightspot would have had to call it quits.

The closure seemed all-but-certain, as not only has their social media accounts vanished, but their landlord had the 4901-A Fairmont Avenue space listed as available for lease as of last night.

That is what happens when your bartenders give away so much and you have way too much room for dinning and the food is awful.

Hope they get a good place there or sell and build a new place there.

Where will all the brahs line up now when they're on summer break? Union Jacks, Brickside or what?

The place seemed crazy packed, particularly during the summer when colleges are on break. They did good business during football season as well. Funny thing is, the new apartment building next door is opening soon. Would have been the closest bar for residents there.

Wasn't my kind of place, but Bethesda needs places that appeal to everyone, not just DINKs and people pushing strollers.

A very bland, mediocre chain. I'd say it won't be missed, but unfortunately it was still one of the better nightlife options in Bethesda. It's astounding how generic 20814 is.

Brickside and Gringos & Mariachis are better options at this point. Roof has just opened as well.

Frat brahs across Bethesda are popping black collared polos in mourning and drowning their sorrows with multiple Grey Goose and Red Bulls.

The rent was supposedly $38,000 a month...

Rent in Bethesda is absolutely crazy. This is why there are so few independent restaurants and non-chain stores. How much of the rent is due to high property taxes, which are always passed on by the owner?
