I hope Hagen Dazs can survive until the Woodmont Plaza Urban Park can replace the Purple Line Construction trailers in a few years. It would be great to have an ice cream store on the plaza. Maybe in the interim, they could offer a new flavor, Purple Line inspired ice cream. An a nice cup of vanilla with a swirl of purple grape syrup. Or, maybe not...

Speaking of the future plaza, has anyone seen a timeline on when the plaza will be designed and how stakeholdes can be involved? Obviously a very important part 0f the master plan, so I would assume some form of community input on its design will be available. Yes a few years off, but perhaps this will allow time to explore lots of options for its use to ensure a world class place is created. Someplace to sink some of that park improvement funds that developers need to pay into if they wish to exceed certain density or height limits. Maybe a design charrette could be held after a park design firm is selected.
