New renderings of proposed apartment tower next to historic Bethesda farm market (Photos)

Columbia Realty Venture, LLC has released the first renderings of its plan to redevelop the commercial buildings just south of the Montgomery Women's Farm Market site on the east side of Wisconsin Avenue. 7121 Wisconsin Avenue would be redeveloped as a 16-story residential tower with retail space. The applicant proposes architecture and massing that it says will "share a special dialogue" with the farm market property next door, which will be retained in a park-like setting.

This will be awesome. The buildings being demolished were obsolete and were under utilized and there no longer compatible to today’s world. It’s called progress.

You know what's really gonna suck? When all these new people have lived here a couple of years, they are going to become even bigger NIMBYs than the people who are here now.
