OVME Medical Spa will be the first of three medspas expected to open this year near Bethesda Row to cross the finish line. Their Bethesda location at 4921 Elm Street is now scheduled to open on January 25, 2021. What exactly is the difference between a plain-old honest-to-goodness "spa", versus a "medspa"?
6:27: It's not my area of expertise, but I think it emphasizes treatments of a medical nature (chemicals, injections, laser surgery - speaking generally here, not specifically of OVME's services) over hair styling, makeup, and massages.
Yeah, this place is for botox, hair removal, coolsculpting, etc. They just call it a "spa" so they can market it as self-care and help convince people to come in and physically alter their face/body.
