One of the permanent signs has been installed at
Clove & Cedar, a new coffee bar opening soon at 4918 St. Elmo Avenue. It is a blade sign, which faces pedestrians passing by on the sidewalk in both directions. Clove & Cedar is located in the former Gold Leaf Bakery space in the ground floor of the Bainbridge Bethesda luxury apartment tower.

Signs of life at the coffee bar!
I always believed Woodmont Triangle could support an independent coffee place.
@Woodmont - There are already a few independent coffee spots in Woodmont Triangle. Bethesda Chocolates and Tout de Suite are better known for their gourmet chocolates and macarons respectively, but each serve coffee and espresso beverages and have indoor seating. I would also include Red Bandana Bakery on Wisconsin in that list. But I always appreciate another alternative to Starbucks, so I hope Clove & Cedar does well.
I'm also a fan of the resurgence of blade signs, I think they add character to a neighborhood and are especially useful for pedestrians.
What distinguishes blade signs is that they are PERPENDICULAR to the pedestrian path.

LOL. Yep...All the junk comes tumbling out.
Another analogy would be a pile of fishhooks or Christmas tree lights.
You can't just pull one out, without pulling all the rest out in a tangled mess.
