Smoke Island opens in Bethesda (Photos)


Bethesdans can finally set sail for Smoke Island. The local tobacco store chain's newest location is at 7913 Norfolk Avenue in Bethesda's Woodmont Triangle neighborhood. As you can see, the shelves are fully stocked with cigarettes, cigarillos, cigars, pipe tobacco, e-cigarettes and liquids, vaporizers, hookah equipment and accessories, flavored wraps, and rolling papers. Smoke Island has existing locations in Wheaton, Silver Spring, Rockville and Tenleytown.

So the idea has been to stop ppl from smoking and now this poor idea for a business has opened?

Never understood why these places are ok but everyone wanted the vape places gone.

Imagine if we actually supported the victims of our decades long Drug War against cannabis by requiring that they benefit from selling it and its paraphernalia now. Hire a Drug Felon First Regulation. Wouldn't that be a fair way to offset years of prison labor for selling a little weed?
