Westbard electrical grid issues aren't going away

Two more brownouts reported this morning in the Westbard area of Bethesda demonstrate that issues with Pepco's electrical grid there have yet to be addressed. Residents have reported brownouts at 7:30 AM and 8:45 AM this morning, August 18, 2023. Based on previous brownout events this summer, these may not be the last for the day. Be sure to keep a record of brownouts that impact your home, as Pepco is liable for damage to your appliances.

The Exelon-owned electric utility said it would look into the issue in mid-July, but has not responded to further inquiries as of this morning. With the exception of the brownouts that occurred on July 29 following a severe thunderstorm, there have been no severe weather issues in the area during the brownouts that have been recorded since 2018. These incidents are completely separate from power outages that took place during storm events in Bethesda. The ongoing grid issues raise serious questions about the area's ability to handle the electricity demands of new development in the neighborhood.

Just wait until 2025 when the all-electric mandate comes into effect. Add to that the push towards EV's and democrats have us on the road to ruin.

Imagine a flip of the switch and no electricity, no internet, no transportation, no communication

Yep, this is because the people in charge think electricity originates from wall sockets. Never mind that the majority of electricity in the DC metro area is fossil fuels including a large portion of coal.
