CHOPT Creative Salad Co. at 4766 Bethesda Avenue is temporarily closed for the afternoon. The restaurant says the closure is due to "power issues." Some residents of downtown Bethesda have reported their lights flickering over the last hour. If you still need a salad, Sweetgreen is down the street, and CHOPT's other Bethesda location at the Wildwood Shopping Center is open. CHOPT's neighbor, Paul Bakery, permanently closed yesterday for unrelated reasons.

There is a power outage affecting parts of Woodmont Ave and Bethesda Row (e.g., Equinox is experiencing an outage).
I live in downtown Bethesda, pwer is still out sice a little after noon. Pepco outage map saying it will be fixed by 5pm.
I love me some CHOPT though. Best salad place around with Jettie's a close second.
oh so that is why SG was so busy!
Too bad they don't accept CASH, don't need computer card readers for that...
Indeed, CHOP'T was the bomb! The Chinatown location by the VZ Center was my meal ticket anytime I was in that area before it turned all ghetto.
One practically has to 'carry out' from them. The weird booths often taken over by one or two people were like little caves. These huge disgustingly dusty cones are hung over the spartan little rooms. I was just hoping dust wouldn't fall in my food. Very strange accommodations!
