Bethesda resurfacing update: Arlington Road (Photos)
The ride is pretty rough right now on Arlington Road between Bradley Boulevard and Old Georgetown Road. Some stretches have asphalt, and others, well...don't.
If you have a brand new or expensive vehicle, you might want to consider an alternative route until this gets finished. You can always expect bits of rubble to fly up and hit the finish in a situation like this.
The work is years and years overdue, so I guess you just have to be glad Montgomery County is finally getting around to it.

Arlington Road resurfacing to begin in Bethesda
And not a moment too soon. Much of Arlington Road in downtown Bethesda looks like a road in a third-world country, and nothing is ever done about it. Until now.
The Montgomery County Department of Transportation's Division of Highway Services will begin resurfacing the busy street today - but the severe weather forecast suggests the start might be delayed until Friday.
Some of the work will be done at night, so get ready for that, residents of Arlington Road and nearby streets!

One of Bethesda's rockiest roads gets repaved (Photos)
A rough stretch of Bethesda Avenue between Arlington and Clarendon Roads is finally getting some attention from Montgomery County. The grinding and repaving isn't coming a minute too soon for drivers who regularly navigate this block.

WISCONSIN AVENUE REPAVING UPDATE IN BETHESDA (PHOTOS)
Several lanes have been repaved on southbound Wisconsin Avenue (MD 355) so far. Watch out for uneven lanes, particularly if you are on a motorcycle. I haven't actually driven a car on it yet, but it appears to be that fantastic new surface the SHA has been using in the last few years (East-West Highway was the first, as I recall).

CAPITAL CRESCENT TRAIL - BETHESDA ROW CONSTRUCTION UPDATE - PHOTOS
TRAIL ON SCHEDULE
TO REOPEN
NEXT WEEK
Another Robert Dyer @ Bethesda Row Exclusive
Patience continues to be a virtue around Bethesda Row, as work on the massive Lot 31 construction project continues.
The good news for Capital Crescent Trail users, is that the path is on-schedule to reopen next week. While the WSSC work was being done, the trail got a fresh paving. If you've walked by, you've noticed the smell of fresh asphalt in the air.
This week, crews are installing the overhead protection to ensure joggers and cyclists don't get hit by a falling Acme anvil, or meet some other Wile E. Coyote-esque fate, while trying to excercise during the 2-year construction project.
