NO DIVING IN THIS BETHESDA DUMPSTER (PHOTOS)
There is some activity at the recently-sold office building at 8003 Woodmont Avenue in Bethesda. It appears a cleaning out, or renovation, may be getting underway, as this dumpster has been placed out front (they have a permit to place it in the street). It will be interesting to see what happens with this building.

I really hope they integrate with the JBG space going in next door. Tired of seeing Woodmont Triangle being built up piecemeal with no cohesion between spaces.
Yeah, I'm kind of confused as to how the Douglas and JBG projects will relate to this building and Bruce Variety. They are going to be like that pink house in Friendship Heights. There's a similar problem in the Westbard Sector, where EYA, Equity One and one other developer are building/proposing major projects before the sector plan rewrite. So it's ending up as a hodgepodge with no cohesive vision for the future.
it is going to be a gourmet chocolate place. a local person is opening it up
A gourmet chocolate place huh? Bringing some Max Brenner style high end gourmet to Woodmont Triangle. This is going to be very close to Tout de Sweet - maybe it will help bring some more life to that block. Can't wait for the JBG and Douglas projects.
That part of Woodmont really needs more activity. That little building has been vacant for years, so a retail use would be great.
The pizza place is the only thing along there that's really open in the evening. You have the county parking lot, the vacant auto dentz place, bruces that is closed in the evening.
Then continue down to the former yacht club space in doubletree that's been closed for years. (I can't believe they wanted to turn that into storage!)
