Super annoying that the sidewalk is closed on the Old Georgetown side of the lot...find myself walking in the road.

That actually happened to me a few days ago. I was walking along the edge of the construction fence on old georgetown and suddenly there were cars coming at me super fast down old georgetown from wisconsin.

This seems to be a growing problem downtown in recent days. Maybe they're waiting until someone is hurt to address the problem?

Hence why there are always signs alerting you to the fact the sidewalk is closed and you should cross to the other side of the street. As if the fence blocking your path isn't enough of an indicator that the sidewalk is closed and you shouldn't attempt to walk along the edge of the street.

If Bethesda wants to be a city they need to start requiring sidewalk canopies with lighting like they do in real cities. The only time I remember seeing them around here is when they built those apartments next to White Flint metro across from Mid-Pike Plaza.

And it may significantly affect Tyber Bierhaus (7528 Old Georgetown Rd)...
They moved a few weeks ago in a building that has the reputation to be cursed for business...
And now they close down the sidewalk leading to Tyber! They are literally on a dead-end sidewalk...
Did they know about the future construction when they signed their lease and moved in?
