Just a week after the first medical marijuana dispensary opened in Bethesda, at the Wildwood Medical Center, another is on the way to downtown Bethesda. Budding Rose, LLC, has leased the renovated space at 4909 Fairmont Avenue. Budding Rose is a franchise based in New Jersey, one of several dispensary brands rapidly moving into the state of Maryland after such medicinal sales were approved.

Vacant for nearly 6 years. Glad to see a tenant at last, instead of the usual "For Lease - Greenhill" sign.

Another amenity for Bainbridge residents
So stoners will be all lined up on that corner, where it used to be loud, barfing drunks from Blackfinn.
And people with illnesses trying to fill a prescription..
Either way I'd much rather take the former than latter.
This will be a much more enjoyable way for Marriott employees to spend their lunch hour, than hanging out at that dead mall.

11:41AM - Speak for yourself. I thought 11:11 had some interesting points. What he describes is sometimes owners who are just holding onto the land. Don't you ever wonder about things?
BB's report was published 3 hours, 12 minutes later, but it was much more informative.
Among other things, their article names the owner of that property, the two former tenants, the floor size, and the history of the problems with that property attributed to the construction next door. It also gives a brief history of the company, and lists their other existing and proposed locations, and the status of the project at this site.
The article also credits Robert Dyer for his own hastily-published and incomplete article:
"Local blogger Robert Dyer first reported that Budding Rose had signed the lease for the Bethesda space."
