Last Christmas at Barnes & Noble in Bethesda (Photos)

This is the last time you'll see the holiday decorations outside of Barnes & Noble. By this time next year, the bookstore will have been replaced by Anthropologie. Still unknown is what changes to the configuration of the plaza outside Barnes & Noble that will entail. Anthropologie will have outdoor dining at its Terrain Cafe, which Barnes & Noble has never needed space to accommodate.

Breaking Bethesda news...when you want to be the first to know.

Barnes & Noble is not open at 3AM anyway.

And Bethesda Lane is not "Barnes & Noble".

And at least one of your photos should have showed the Barnes & Noble sign, for context

5:55: It's right there in the top photo, dumbass.

5:51: Thanks for reminding everybody of all the stories I broke this week, including the biggest one from Whitman.

10:32 AM You're bitter, delusional, full of grievance.

If believing I'm Robert Dyer delights you, so be it.

Not denying he is "Steve" tho

And the lame comment about "mayo" was at 9:46, one minute before "Steve" and two minutes before "Roald".

This is written as though an outdoor eating space is a bad thing.

Barnes & Noble put Olsson's Bethesda out of business. Amazon's putting B&N out of business. It's the cycle.

I go to P&P, to support independent bookstores.

I read the comments to my wife who is recovering from eye surgery.

When she heard me say "I go to pee and pee", she burst out laughing.

"Barnes & Noble put Olsson's Bethesda out of business."

Not that simple. Barnes & Noble opened in Bethesda in 1997. Olsson's didn't close until 2005, when the site was cleared to make way for the Lionsgate.

There wasn't a single other location in Bethesda that Olsson's could have moved to.

7:03 AM Agreed- I'm never visiting this site again.

Actually- forget I said that. Where else can I find out what's going on in Bethesda? I'd have nothing to steal.

Oh well. See everyone tomorrow morning.

Roald and his goofy alter-ego, Steve.
Just like Dyer and Tarnation Bob.
