Car stolen from home on Bradley Boulevard in Bethesda

Is the Bradley Boulevard corridor heating up again as a playground for auto thieves after an autumn lull? A car was reported stolen from the driveway of a home in the 5900 block of Bradley Boulevard yesterday at 7:04 AM, according to crime data. Property was also taken from a vehicle parked on the next block of Bradley earlier yesterday morning at 3:30 AM.

There goes another one.

The corrupt leftist MoCo Politicians that you MoCo leftists voted for have destroyed the MoCo Police Department: https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/montgomery-county-police-chief-says-morale-among-officers-is-at-lowest-hes-seen/2884990/

You created the environment for this to happen. You voted for and elected the people that did it. Take a bow and own it.

Dimes to dollars a key was left in the car and/or it was UNLOCKED!

So 12:00 PM knows this factually? Ignorance is bliss thus SN must be very happy.

@12:00 PM: "She shouldn't have worn that short skirt."

I would like to achieve a level of community safety where you're able to leave your car unlocked. You're not interested in that. You're too invested in failure to admit it's failure. In fact, it's failure that's become betrayal, narcissism and elitism.

Ahhh the blissful have erupted. I said this, and will say it again, because I am basing my statement on the many reports of car theft and break-ins reported here and elsewhere, which occurred in the area, mention car was unlocked or keys left in car, or even car was running? Ex. A vehicle was taken in the 10300 block of Strathmore Hall Street between 2 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Oct. 31. A key was reportedly left inside; A vehicle was taken in the 7900 block of Georgia Avenue early on Oct. 31. It was reportedly left unlocked and running. The vehicle was recovered on Nov. 4; A vehicle was taken in the 600 block of Silver Spring Avenue between 5:45 and 6:30 a.m. on Nov. 2. It was reportedly left unlocked and running.
A vehicle was taken in the 100 block of Croydon Court between 3 p.m. on Nov. 2 and 11 a.m. on Nov. 3. WTF! People are clueless. So, you whiney little snowflakes (#5:07 and #6:32) QYB!

Rockville, 7900 block of Georgia Ave,600 block of Silver Spring Ave and Croydon Court? None of these sound like the 5900 block of Bradley. So if I list examples of crime statistics in NE DC, (just a couple of blocks from the 7900 block of Georgia Ave), this will be relevant? The squirrel cage of logic is amazing.

@5:25 PM You are a bit directionally challenged as these are in MoCo, and presented as an example of the same activity exist county-wide. Don't whine the you are being picked on in your Beverly Hills wannabe community. Even they have crime. Try educating yourself with the piece below.

Education through opinion. This is why you'll always fail because while everyone is entitled to their own opinions, you're not entitled to your own facts. Looking at crime by zip code per capita can tell you if there is an increase in a particular area, not just the County overall. Saying what's going on here is no different than other areas misses the point that crime in Bethesda has increased at a faster rate than other areas of the County.

Unfortunately reason is not your strong suit.

@10:58 AM: Your attempts to deflect on this aren't fooling anyone.

Root causes? You really want to go down this road? Ok then, let's talk about a supposed "Root Cause".

Poverty isn't a "Root Cause" of crime, but you undoubtedly believe it is based on the piece you shared.

There are plenty of poor people in the USA who don't rob, rape, or murder. The poor people in the USA who commit robbery, rape or murder aren't starving. In fact, they have a level of material wealth which people in other countries could only dream of. They have a refrigerator, television, and a stove/oven. Many have a microwave, washing machine and dishwasher. Many have cell phones. Many have vehicles. You as a member of the radical MoCo Left don't want to talk about these facts when you talk about the poor because what actually matters to you is inequality, not poverty.... but that's another discussion.

So why do poor people commit crimes? It's not because they lack the necessities of life. Think about your own family members. Could you imagine your parents or other relatives robbing anyone, or raping or murdering them? I imagine not, because they have values which make that kind of behavior impossible.

So when a MoCo Leftist like yourself references "Root Causes" of crime which need to be addressed and insinuates that "poverty causes crime", that leaves use with only a couple of possibilities:

1 - You are speaking about yourself and you believe that if you were poor, you'd commit these violent crimes.

or

2 - You aren't speaking about yourself but you're speaking about others, in which case you'd have to admit that poor people who do rob, rape or murder are morally inferior to you.

Number 2 happens to be true. People of any wealth level who rob, rape or murder do it because they lack a conscience and clear sense of morality. It's not poverty that causes violent crime, but poor character and the absence of a conscience. You'll never admit this or acknowledge it because acknowledging it blames the criminals, rather than society at large, for the crimes done by poor people. Values and character determine moral behavior, not economics.

You want to address the "Root Causes" of crime? Fine. An authority figure (Parent/Older Sibling) needs to be at home to ensure that their child/children/sibling(s) is/are at home, school or work at all times. There shouldn't even be child as a factor until there's commitment/marriage involved here. I can keep going with these actual "Root Causes" of crime that should be addressed instead of the red herrings you're referencing, but it might make you uncomfortable to discuss or accept them. Let me know.
