The first permanent signage has been installed at The Hunter's Hound, opening soon at the Collection at Chevy Chase in Friendship Heights. Cuisine here is billed as "modern Irish Americana," with the occasional detour from the Emerald Isle in the form of an Asian salad or avocado toast. With fish and chips, Irish rashers, a brunch side of Heinz baked beans, house-made soda bread, and shepherd's pie, The Hunter's Hound could help fill the vacuum of Irish establishments in the Bethesda area since the Montgomery County Council's disastrous "nighttime economy" initiative wiped out the Irish pubs here.
