Construction continues on Phase 1 of the new Westbard Square development at the Westwood Shopping Center in Bethesda. There has so far been excavation and grading of the soil under what used to be a large parking lot at the strip center. A new retail building anchored by a Giant grocery store, a town square, and the Canal House will be constructed on this part of the property. All businesses in the shopping center are open during the construction.
