Coalition Tattoo posts sign in Bethesda

A Coalition Tattoo banner has been attached to the building at 4823 Fairmont Avenue in Bethesda. It's not clear yet what's going on, however. Tattoo Haven, upstairs in the same building, already offers the same tattoo and piercing services. None of Tattoo Haven's social media accounts or website mention Coalition Tattoo or any rebranding, and Coalition Tattoo has no internet presence as of this morning.

What's with all the tattoo parlors opening around here? I thought Bethesda was trying to imitate NYC, not Hartford or Waterbury. Besides, didn't the country move past "peak ink" a couple of years ago?

Why is there a need for a tattoo parlor in Bethesda anyway?

Back in my day, the only tattoo parlor option was to go downtown by the Trailways/Greyhound bus depot and be met at the speakeasy type door by Nightingale who always had a .38 revolver strapped to his chest... Now they are called boutiques and one will probably open up at Montgomery Mall the way things are headed. It should be more difficult to get tattooed, NOT easier!
