Downtown Bethesda's newest fitness concept is now open. Hotworx, a 24-hour "infrared fitness studio," is located at 4830 Rugby Avenue in the ground floor of the Gallery Bethesda II apartment tower. Offering hot yoga, pilates, cycling and barre workouts in an infrared sauna environment, Hotworx allows busy members to compress their exertions into 15-minute High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) or 30-minute Isometric workouts.
Yes, the studio is open 24-hours-a-day if you are a member. This was a question some had when I first reported on Hotworx's opening plans back in May, and now we have the answer. Non-members and guests are welcome during staffed hours, which are 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM Monday through Thursday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Fridays, and 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturdays. There are no staffed hours on Sundays.
