Montgomery County police were once again called to Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda this past weekend, after a report of an assault. The assault was reported at a department store inside the mall at 5:33 PM on Saturday, March 22, 2025. This was the third assault reported at the mall so far this year. There were 11 assaults reported at the popular retail center in 2024, 5 in 2023, and 12 in 2022.

The mall has become a disgusting place. I was in the food court yesterday, Monday, and it was beyond empty. I know it was the beginning of the week but the mall in general seemed empty. The future of that place cannot be rosy. The should blow the entire thing up and make a Pike and Rose only not as cramped.

6:11 - Not always negative. I would I would disagree with that assertion. So, should citizens of this community, a very affluent and highly educated and overall safe one, sit back and say nothing? I've been shopping at that mall since the early 70's with my parents back then. Many of us know very well how things have gone down hill. Are there problems at Tyson's Mall? Sure. But it's a much, much nicer shopping and entertainment experience. I would argue not negative at all but rather constructive criticism. These are easy problems to fix, so fix them.

My view is the same, I always anticipate a negative comment, and I'm rarely wrong. But you could change our opinion.
