The temperature in Bethesda this afternoon has just hit 100 degrees, according to Accuweather. That's only extended the line of people seeking refreshment at the grand opening of Max's Best Ice Cream at 7770 Woodmont Avenue, But the weather has overwhelmed the infrastructure at other businesses in the area. A broken exhaust fan has forced the closure of Casa Oaxaca for the rest of the day. Likewise, Junction Bistro, Bar & Bakery at the Collection at Chevy Chase has closed for today due to a loss of air conditioning.
