One of the oldest businesses still operating in downtown Bethesda is Bethesda Florist at 4934 St. Elmo Avenue. The shop will soon be moving about 4 blocks away, to a new address they plan to publicly announce"soon." Their existing storefront is among several buildings that will soon be demolished to make way for a new apartment tower. Bethesda Florist has been a family-owned-and-operated business for over 65 years.

Interesting. This is the 2nd time they have moved in their history. They started on the corner across from Old Geo'twn Grill. They own that building so hopefully did very well on their sale. Great to see a local business staying and thriving.

i appreciate their willingness to make a delivery to NE DC. Not all florists would.
Glad they're staying in the neighborhood. Disgusted that they're being displaced for another bloated UNNEEDED building.
