Barbie Truck Dreamhouse Living Tour to stop at Bethesda Row on March 30, 2024

The Barbie Dreamhouse Living Tour truck is coming to Bethesda Row on March 30, 2024. It will be parked on Bethesda Lane across from the Apple Store from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM that day. Celebrating the 60th anniversary of Barbie moving into her first Dreamhouse, the truck will be loaded with Dreamhouse-inspired Barbie merchandise like shirts, hoodies, mug coasters, plates, blankets, pet drinking bowls, thermal bottles, jewelry, hats and more. Barbie herself is not expected to make an appearance, however.

Bethesda Row Trick or Treat 2023 tonight, October 25, 5:30 - 7:30 PM

Bethesda Row's annual Trick or Treat event will be held tonight, October 25, 2023, from 5:30 to 7:30 PM. Tickets must be purchased in advance and are available online for $5.00 per child. All proceeds will go to Manna Food Center. Kids are encouraged to arrive in costume, and interact with Bethesda Row businesses and costumed characters. Treats and surprises are in store, as are photo opportunities.

For the second weekend in a row, downtown Bethesda successfully held one of its major annual events, the 2023 Bethesda Row Arts Festival. Those who miss the Woodmont Avenue Streetery at Bethesda Row got a two-day reprieve during the festival, which closed the street between Elm Street and Bethesda Avenue to vehicles. Art in 14 different media categories was on display. The Purple Line light rail project, which was one of the event's sponsors this year, put on its own art exhibit: renderings of the public art installations that will be found at the line's Montgomery County stations when they open later this decade, and a cool rendering of a train arriving at the downtown Bethesda station.

Free ice cream at Jeni's Bethesda Row grand opening Dec. 19

Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams has been open for a few weeks at 4918 Elm Street at Bethesda Row. But the company is going to make its arrival in Bethesda official next Thursday, December 19, 2019 at 7:00 PM.

2018 Bethesda Row Arts Festival October 13-14

Save the date for the 2018 Bethesda Row Arts Festival, which will be held on October 13-14 on Bethesda Avenue, Bethesda Lane, Elm Street and Woodmont Avenue, which will become art galleries around Bethesda Row. More than 190 artists will participate in this year's festival, displaying ceramics, drawings, fabrics, glass, graphics, jewelry, metalwork, paintings, pastels, photography, printmaking, sculpture, wood, and 2D and 3D mixed media.

The festival will run from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Saturday, October 13, and from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, October 14. Admission is free. For more information, visit the official festival website.

Bethesda Row is hosting a Washington Capitals watch party for Game 5 tonight on Bethesda Lane, starting at 6:00 PM. Alex Ovechkin's favorite Mamma Lucia will be selling food and drinks from a pop-up on the lane. Bring your own chair and blanket, or stand and watch.

BETHESDA ROW TO HOST WASHINGTONIAN BEST OF HAPPY HOUR JULY 1

UPDATE June 25: Please note that Bethesda Row has changed the date, and starting time!

Washingtonian Magazine will hold the last of 3 Best of Washington Happy Hours at Bethesda Row Tuesday, July 1, from 6:00-8:30 PM. Bethesda Lane will be blocked off for the event, as in years past.

A donation of $15 to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at the door will get you two drink tickets, and tastes from restaurants around the Row. During the event, you will be able to purchase discounted tickets to the 2014 AT&T Best of Washington event at the National Building Museum on July 16.
