BETHESDA DRIVERS SLAMMED BY VERIZON AGAIN (PHOTOS)

Remember the days of landline telephones, when customers would report having been "slammed" by one phone company or another?

Drivers may be reminded in downtown Bethesda, as extensive Verizon utility work continues to close lanes near the 2nd District police station, and the Bethesda Metro Center.

Verizon has not informed the public about the scope and nature of this work.

It has served to show what the devastating effect of taking 2 lanes of 355 for use by Bus Rapid Transit would be.

Even at off-peak hours, there have beens jams and delays as a result of the work.
