PUBLIC MEETING SCHEDULED ON BRIGHTVIEW BETHESDA ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY ON RUGBY AVE.

A public meeting on a proposed Brightview assisted-living facility at 4907 Rugby Avenue will be held next Monday, December 15, at 7:00 PM at the Bethesda Library, at 7400 Arlington Road.

The proposed 7-story building would house 98 assisted-living residential units, and about 2,957 SF of retail space. 22 of the units would be designed for specialized memory care patients. Brightview says residents would receive personalized daily care services, including meals, housekeeping, laundry, transportation and concierge assistance. Staff would also provide opportunities to socialize, as well as plan events for residents. The building design includes a rooftop deck.

Brightview Bethesda will also feature public art and amenities. Because the site has inconsistent zoning, and includes an adjacent plot, the proposed building will be massed to comply with the appropriate CBD-1 optional method zoning on each. As you can see in the images here, the parking garage access will be from Rugby Avenue.

This seems like it would be a great place to live as an elderly patient. I think that knowing the best ways to help those who are in need of any kind of assistance can be a huge help. Something that stands out is that you mentioned that there are parts of this facility that can cater to those who are having memory problems overall. Thank you for sharing.
