Barnes & Noble sets tentative exit date at Bethesda Row

Barnes & Noble has tentatively set the date of January 11, 2018 to vacate its space at Bethesda Row, according to Bethesda-Chevy Chase Regional Services Center Director Ken Hartman. The chain will still have a relatively-nearby store at another Federal Realty property, Montrose Crossing in the Pike District.

Are they going to fire sale inventory and assets or just move them to another location?

Will there be another bookstore to go in its place, anywhere in the area?

Like Dyer's local digital network, HuffPost, Vice, Vox and BuzzFeed don't have print publications. All are still doing good journalism.

Oh for heaven's sake. Do all y'all just act dumb for attention?

Print is just another attribute/aspect of a media group. Some have it, some don't. Some have podcasts, some don't.

HuffPost, Vice, Vox and Buzzfeed are not run by one lone person, so why would you compare their digital operations with Dyer?

9:41am every venture starts with one person with an idea and vision.

Dyer is serving local MoCo communities quite well with his digital network.

9:59AM - gotta get one more atta-boy in.

And no, he isn't. How can you say that? Open your eyes.

10:24am Dyer is bringing daily local news to the news deserts of MoCo.

That's a fact, not an "atta boy".

I Love it more that Robert can’t admit he was flat out wrong. He’s so nuts that he says Marriott is wrong...despite them being the billion dollar business doing the buying and building.

Let's be clear: a Marriott spox at a public community meeting confirmed Dyer's reporting. Tastee decided not to sell.

Let's be clear - no one said any such thing, and you're a coward who won't sign your own comments.

9:40: I sign every comment I post, and anyone at the Marriott meeting can tell you they confirmed my version of events. Your face was pretty red that night, old sport.

You delete comments you don't like even ones with appropriate and polite language. My comment about Amazon store was deleted twice by you. Other's on the same topic were as well. You're going to lose followers if you keep doing that. Foul language, etc definitely has no place so I support those deletions.
