Is it possible to imagine a scenario where parking somewhere in Bethesda actually gets better? It just happened at Home Depot at 7111 Westlake Terrace. Workers have finished demolishing part of the Home Depot Square strip mall there, and have laid down some new asphalt and painted on some parking spaces. The new parking area stands out with the fresh black asphalt color.

Since comments are disabled on the Lisa Vogel agency post I will share my thoughts here: I’m glad to see more small businesses investing in vibrant Montgomery County! I wish Ms. Vogel well and I hope her expansion is very successful.
(Not sure why this comment was deleted — twice. Does the “comment policy” prohibit saying nice things about your neighbor?)
Good question! Will Dyer answer?
Or will he pull a #dodgingdyer
A surface parking lot is your example of making something better? lol.
I have been going to that Home Depot for years (mostly on weekends!!) and have NEVER struggled to find a parking spot. But at least there are fewer businesses there now, right?
I concur
It seems like every morning Robert Dyer is covering something new and exciting in Bethesda! It's almost as if the act of of making my morning coffee drives him to new heights of inspiration!
Seriously, why would they need more parking, especially since Sears will be gone in less than a year?
7:50 AM It's parking for Home Depot, which apparently needs more parking during their peak hours.
HD definitely needs more parking. It can get full on weeekdays during the day, and also weekends if the weather is good. The post office lots spills into it because all the workers who deliver mail park their personal cars in the post office lot.
Dear Vince & Dominic your are still sorely missed. :(
That parking is nowhere near Home Depot, it is near the Post Office.
Dear 2:45 "your are" ungrammatical.
6:14 PM It's the same shopping center as the home depot. Cars gotta go somewhere.
