The first internal street at the new Westbard Square development in Bethesda has opened to traffic. Zenith Overlook currently connects Westbard Avenue - at a new signalized intersection - with the rear garage entrance to the Giant building at 5400 Westbard Avenue. Those traffic signals at Westbard are now active. The street opening comes not a moment too soon, with Tatte Bakery & Cafe now scheduled to open on Wednesday, November 20. "Overlook" is a type of road like "street," "lane," or "avenue." Who knew?

Zenith Overlook seems to be a pun given that zenith means "The highest point". Honestly... kinda cringe
Maybe it refers to where the new Giant store is perched: "Where Eagles Dare."
Basically a highfalutin alley.
These lights have already slowed down the traffic on Westbard. Hopefully folks needing to turn left (towards River Road) will use this road instead of the garage exit with no signals.
Don't count on it. . .
