Not surprisingly, there were a couple of liquor arrests in downtown Bethesda on Mardi Gras.
An assault reported at a White Flint department store, thefts at the Bethesda Library and from a vehicle at the Bethesda YMCA, and an unspecified sex offense at Bethesda Row are among the incidents in crime data from the past week.

Liquor arrest. 8000 block Woodmont Avenue.
Liquor arrest. 4900 block St. Elmo Avenue.
Assault/"other sexual offense." 7100 block Arlington Road (Bethesda Row).
Theft. 5300 block Acacia Avenue.
Theft. 10700 block Pine Haven Terrace.
Drug arrest. I-270 N near Montrose Road exit.
