Meanwhile, the first phase of demolition continues at the Lauren site. The houses were already obliterated, but they're working on the foundations, staircases, etc. With this and the Montgomery Lane/West Lane project going on at once, wouldn't you hate to live in those luxury buildings right there during all this? I do live in one of the "luxury" buildings (Hampden Square) and I don't hear a thing as long as the windows are closed. This building is built like a fortress.
I would love to live in a luxury development next to this. Increase in value? Heck yeah. Now that homeless shelter next door
It's a busy, highly sought after urban area. I think (reasonable) people accept the fact that there might be construction around them once in a while. The next door properties are relatively new and I'm sure they created a lot of construction noise to existing residential properties when they were built.
I ain't no holla back girl!
