Walter Johnson student dies

A student at Walter Johnson High School in Bethesda died Saturday, according to an email to parents from Walter Johnson principal Jennifer Baker. The student was the second Bethesda-area high school student to die unexpectedly in the last week.

And their picture of WJ is much better. It doesn't look like it was hastily snapped from the perimeter of the campus by someone with a restraining order.

7:56: Sorry, I realize you can get sensationalized coverage of this story at another website. They eagerly await your cheap clicks. Meanwhile, here, as with last week's tragedy, I am withholding some information out of respect for the student and the family.

8:00: You're the convicted sex offender who knows all the exact number of feet you have to stay away from schools, etc., so it's a pretty stupid line of attack for you to use on others. Why don't you have some respect for the people going through a difficult time, while you just sit in a dark room, lashing out at people who are doing the things you can't do?

Surprised Hans Riemer would associate himself with scumbags like you.

Are you going to repost this on your Rockville blog?

Robert Dyer said...

8:11: No, because A) it's not in Rockville, and B) I've got two great scoops about actual Rockville news today on RockvilleNights.com. The most-read news source in Rockville.

Just took Dyer 16 minutes to make a totally irrelevant comment about Hans Riemer.

Better comment he made was "The most-read news source in Rockville." Love to see a screenshot of the analytics you get that from.

Hmmm. If you only post Rockville stories on your Rockville site, then shouldn't you only post Bethesda stories on your Bethesda side? That would mean no more posts about Pike & Rose.

How about spinning off your Westbard stories into a separate blog? People who want to know what's going on in downtown Bethesda don't care about that crappy area, other than buying cheap gas at the W and home and garden plants at American Plant Company. We don't go to McDonalds and we go to the Whole Foods in Friendship Heights.

If you're going to respect the family, why are you talking about clicks and your "scoops?"
Once again, it's NOT ABOUT YOU.

My heart goes out to the teen's family and friends. And anyone who is struggling to understand.

Robert Dyer said...

3:25: I never said it was about me; you're the one who keeps repeating that phrase. My record of respecting the families in both recent tragedies speaks for itself. There is far more sensational information available to me from sources in both cases, all of which I have withheld.

Anna, the blogger just reported the minimal information. He didn't report the students' name in both tragedies and I believe was extremely respectful of the families. I think you owe him an apology.

Anna said...

I'll keep repeating it until you understand it.
Not About You.

5:26, your phraseology is like Dyer's. Just an observation.
I don't agree that Dyer's first posts at 8:05 and 8:08 were respectful.

It's like giving an eulogy at a funeral and talking about your own accomplishments.

Anna, you're clearly under a great amount of stress related to this suicide. Perhaps you should not read this blog if it is upsetting you so. this blogger isn't saying that this is about him. And it isn't about you or me either.

That's what I don't get. If people hate the blog so much why do they waste their time reading it?? This time it was 8 minutes before the first troll. I don't think I read any site frequently enough to get that kind of a jump on the comments.

seems like Dyer has discovered his niche.

Anonymous said...

terpsucka, he uploads every morning at 8AM.

My guess is other bloggers who need material for the day come here early and often. Posting anonymous troll comments along the way and always comparing their posts with Dyer's.

I can't imagine anyone else having time or motivation to analyze every word of not only Dyer's posts, but the comments as well.

Trolling the trolls is the epitome of wasting time and lack of motivation.

Nicely put Terpsucka! I also never understood why people would come to this blog just to troll. Who cares that the photo is blurry! I would like to recommend to Dyer that he disables comments. At least temporarily until these losers with nothing better to do but criticize the blog find someone or somewhere else to bully.

If Dyer closes comments permanently, he will lose all his readers. His business model depends on being "trolled".

Dear Anonymous @ 9:46. I made an observation. And labelled it as such.

Why are you reading more into it?

If you think asking for respect for the family and friends is out of line, well...that says more about you than me.

Nothing more completely baffles one who is full of tricks and duplicity than straight forward and simple integrity in another.
