Bethesda construction update: Brown Bag (Photos)

The return of Brown Bag to downtown Bethesda is scheduled to happen this spring. However, as the first day of spring nears, there's a long way to go inside the restaurant's space in the ground floor of the Hyatt Regency Bethesda hotel. Preliminary construction of interior walls is about as far as the project has gone as of now.

Looks like their existence does not depend on having a cineplex nearby.

On the topic of restaurants, can you shed any light on the China Garden restaurant that was to take the place of Paladar on Rockville Pike? They seem to have disappeared from the scene. The banner that hung for months out in front is gone.

10:57 AM I don't know whether to pity or envy you that these photos of a sandwich shop are the only thing you have to worry about.

10:50/11:01 - If those concerns are so trivial or petty, then why do comment on every one of them in less than five minutes after they were posted?

11:40 AM Trivial and petty- Yup, that just about sums up the anonymous troll's comments here.

6:05 PM You go right back to your conspiracy theory that Robert Dyer posts every comment other than yours. And that you are Robert's sole reader. How many years will you waste with this nonsense?

Notice how "Hungry Hungry Journo" and "Tom Andrews" have nothing to say about the subject of the article, the return of Brown Bag.

"Tom Andrews": "How many years will you waste with this nonsense?"

You mean like this nonsense?

Robert Dyer: "We have a cartel of multiple dictators who are behind the Council, and working in unison. They are in the development and non-profit fields, and in certain of the unions. They are in collusion with local media, most notably the Washington Post and Washingtonian magazine. Together, they control MoCo elections."

Also Robert Dyer: "That's rich from the clown who yesterday typed that the Post was exempt from doing "the work" of covering the Council campaign for the wacky reason that I had not received massive donations from the criminal MoCo cartel. If you haven't been following the nasty anti-police comments from the Council, what is your standing to question my assertions then? A big red rubber nose and wildly-oversized shoes?

"Alinsky tactics must sometimes be used to fight Alinsky tactics, but not with the anti-American, Communist intent that Alinsky and his Fellow Travelers possessed. Imagine how much fun the next Democratic president will have with the new normal regarding presidential investigations, counting lies, and seeking impeachment!"

Also by Robert Dyer: "They vote illegally, except when they illegally register under one of the fake driver's license mills operating in the county. One was shut down around the election time, ironically, but they conveniently did not seize the illegal licenses to prevent those illegals from using them to register and vote.

"The anomalies in voting results are in my results, so it's clear I was targeted with the voter fraud, likely because I was the only person running with name recognition besides Robin Ficker and Marc Elrich.

"I'm smarter than those dolts in the cubicles around you right now. Better pick up Hans' dry cleaning."

4:10: I stand behind these comments. It's a fist full of facts hitting you like a ton of bricks. Did you pick up Hans' dry cleaning yet?

I'd recommend Dyer's troll make a citizens arrest of Robert, but we all know the troll is pussycat when he sees Dyer in public, at community meetings, restaurants, etc.

7:26 AM The man who says he sees Dyer at meetings, in restaurants, etc. has posted about that here. Typical keyboard cowboy who types a good game online but can't have a conversation in public, let a lone say the nasty things he types in person.

If you can't say what you type here in public, don't type it.

7:42AM Are you talking about Dyer? Cuz I doubt he'd have the nerve to tell a gramma aged short woman that he will be "body-slamming" me "through the coffeetable." and I especially doubt that those watching will be "applauding" him for doing so.

But that's just my opinion.
