Bethesda PetSmart to be renovated

The once-new but now-aging PetSmart store at 6800 Wisconsin Avenue in Bethesda is going to get a refresh. Renovations will include new finishes, flooring and millwork. New millwork fixtures will also require updates to the mechanical and electrical systems in the building. According to the pet retail chain, the renovations will cost $200,000.

Any word on a tenant for the former CVS Drugstore? It has been vacant for a long time. A highly visible location, but with nearly zero pedestrian traffic, and hidden parking below grade. It seems like another destination tenant might be their only chance to fill it.
