Le Vieux Logis for sale in Bethesda

Longtime downtown Bethesda French restaurant Le Vieux Logis is for sale. The asking price is $150,000, according to an online listing. Le Vieux Logis got a new lease on life with a change in ownership a few years ago, which earned it a rare rave review from the notoriously Bethesda-averse Washington Post.

That's a really low price for the business, like compared to that Baked Bear place that went up for sale a few months ago that you reported on.

I'm guessing their sales are in decline, and it's hard to get a good price based on that. I was there for lunch a few months ago and the food was good as usual, but not many customers.

I had no idea it was historic.

"the notoriously Bethesda-averse Washington Post."

And the Tourette's kicks in at the very end.

10:40AM I'm assuming a reference to the dearth of Bethesda restaurant coverage in the Post and lack of positive reviews? I think Jaleo is the only Bethesda place on the most recent "best" list, and it calls out the DC location.

Huh. Sietsema really likes True Food and Raku and talks about what a great chef Yannick Cam is. It's not his fault most of the restaurants here aren't that good.

Bethesda gets no love from Sietsema

1:47PM, so...which restaurants do you think Sietsema should be writing about?
