Sneak peek: Signage and pedestrian pass-through at The Camille in Bethesda (Video + Photos)

A couple of finishing touches being made to the exterior of The Camille apartments at 7000 Wisconsin Avenue are helping to elevate the overall design aesthetic of the new development. The signage, now installed and lit at night, gives a 1930s vibe due to the font. A pedestrian pass-through between Wisconsin Avenue and the alleyway and apartments behind the building is nearing completion. Much like the one at the 8001 Woodmont development, the architects have taken the opportunity to use art installations to create a unique sense of place and a better pedestrian experience, in addition to ensuring the "tunnel" is well-lit. The lobby appears to be nearing completion, while a ground floor retail space awaits a tenant and interior fit-out.

The building's official website notes that units are now leasing, ranging from $2,435 studios to $3,785 2-bedroom homes. It also features a video that I believe I saw being filmed, which emphasizes the property's close proximity to The St. James Performance Studio fitness center, the Capital Crescent Trail, and Bethesda Row. The Camille was scheduled for a September 2023 delivery, so it is slightly behind-schedule, but looks like it will be opening soon.
