Installation of signage, and the finishing touches on the exterior, have proceeded slowly over the last month at On Saint Elmo, opening soon at 4915 St. Elmo Avenue in downtown Bethesda. Yesterday, workers were applying a hypnotic swirl pattern to the front windows of the former Union Jack's/Shark Club space. Assessments of the design may range from that's-attention-getting to where's-the-Dramamine, depending on your perspective. By Sunday evening, the permanent logo signage was in place above the entrance to the restaurant and lounge.

Finally. Their website has been up for months. Any word on if they got their liquor license yet?
I don't think this place is going to make it. I know of the owner through mutual acquaintances and nothing good has been said about him or his wife.
