CHEVY CHASE VEHICLE BREAK-INS, SEXUAL OFFENSE REPORTED IN GROSVENOR - BETHESDA CRIME UPDATE

Two more vehicle break-ins were reported Friday, this time in separate Chevy Chase neighborhoods adjacent to downtown Bethesda. And an unspecified "sexual offense" was reported the same day in Grosvenor, possibly in an apartment building, according to crime data.

Here's a roundup of crimes reported across Bethesda on January 3:

Theft. 7800 block Wisconsin Avenue (downtown Bethesda).

Vehicle burglary. 7500 block Tarrytown Road (Chevy Chase, just outside downtown Bethesda).

Vehicle burglary. 6400 block Ruffin Road (Chevy Chase West neighborhood).

Theft. 5200 block Pooks Hill Road.

Assault/"Other Sexual Offense." 10200 block Grosvenor Place, data suggests incident occurred in an apartment.

Liquor arrest. Vicinity of I-270 and Rockledge Boulevard.

Theft. Sears at Westfield Montgomery Mall.

Theft. Macy's at Westfield Montgomery Mall.
