No journalist in MoCo covers the crime beat as well as Dyer.

Why read crime reports that are over a week old rather than Robert Dyer's more fuller, complete and timely reporting?

I'd kind of like to know crimes in my city sooner rather than later.

I think we all know Robert Dyer is Nightcrawler...

Robert Dyer is fighting crime!

He's just covering the crime beat in MoCo better than anyone else.

@ 11:13/12:29:

Why not just link to Pete Piringer directly, and cut out the middle man?

"more fuller"

LOL... whatever that means. What exactly does Dyer add to the MoCoPD press releases?

Huh? These Dyer posts are just a regurgitation of the publicly available info. I don't mind that (I mostly just skip over these posts as the info is usually ho-hum), but let's not pretend like Dyer's something he's not.

Apologies... I was channeling my inner Bethesda Services Center. "Click here to Dyer for a fuller, more complete discussion of... everything."

2:27: Pete Piringer doesn't release any crime stats. He's the FIRE DEPARTMENT spokesperson, not the police. The data is not put out into press releases, either.

My reports are indeed "Fuller" - according to your preferred source, there were only a handful of crimes across the County during a long-ago 7 day period. Readers of my blog would laugh at that, as a single day's report for Bethesda alone on my blog is longer than that. Information is power.

Dyer is adding value. The guy is covering multiple beats on many issues important to us, such as ped safety, development, transportation and education.

I'm pretty confident he's providing more value to downtown residents than our county representatives.

What has 7:46 done to add value to the community today? Why are you so miserable?

@ 8:19 PM - I believe that your disorder is called "Megalomania by Proxy".
