MOD Pizza sign installed at Montrose Crossing
The sign is up at MOD Pizza's newest Montgomery County location, opening soon at Montrose Crossing on Rockville Pike. Because of the placement of the restaurant in the parking lot, there's also a similar sign above the rear service entrance. There's still one prime space available for lease in this new building at the Federal Realty-owned shopping center.

Way to ruin an entire area. They jammed way too much in there. Why in the world Chick Fil A didn't put in a drive thru is beyond me. That would have precluded some of the jam up where these new places are. No where to park either.
@ 6:22 AM
Yes, that strip of joints parallel to the Pike is a nightmare to navigate and park. As far as a Chic-fil-a drive through, could you imagine that traffic jam?
6:22 Really? There always seems to be plenty of places to park even during the peak. Chick-fil-a on the other hand.....
6:55: I'm deleting the question because it is A) wildly off-topic, and B) you are intentionally zeroing in on two companies that, based on what I've seen, are not active with the cartel, because you have some personal vendetta against them. You should really be picking up Hans Riemer's dry cleaning, Boy Friday.
@6:22 - I don't see how the area is ruined. They've added a bunch of good options to that shopping center. The parking lot next to the Pike might fill up, but there are hundreds more spaces immediately behind the building.
7:16: That's because Sears has closed, so they are using an actual operating business as a reference instead. Most of the malls you listed were sabotaged by greedy owners who want(ed) to sell or redevelop the property.
7:30 AM is referring to false reporting by several other unreliable blogs that Sears was closing a year before it actually did. (One intern had to step down over the mistake of not calling Sears).
Dyer got it right, just like with the Little Falls road diet.
So much false reporting from the various blogs out there.
Dyer also, exclusively, had the emotional PA sign off by Sears employees :)
I suggest you also delete 7:16 AM for the racist reference to Landover Mall. This is totally ignorant, despicable, and inappropriate way to comment.
@ 7:49 AM - Is Wikipedia racist, too?
The mall's impact was felt throughout the metro area in places such as Prince George's County which lacked any regional shopping centers as upscale as White Flint. This led to some spots like Landover Mall and Iverson Mall receiving the nickname "Black Flint Mall", while alternately White Flint was dubbed the "White Iverson Mall".

7:49: Thank you - I have deleted it.
When readers point out errors in articles on the other sites, those errors will be quickly corrected and the staff will acknowledge the readers who called attention to them.
8:40 AM This is the internet. You can visit several news sites...there's no reason to lock yourself to just reading a magazine's site. Relax.
9:06 AM That's not true. Journalistic practice would be to keep the story up with a correction. Bethesda Magazine regularly gets it wrong and simply rewrites the story to cover up making big mistakes (i.e. claiming Sears was closing over a year before it did).
Sears filed a "WARN" notice to the state of Maryland for their Montgomery Mall store in January 2018. That fact cannot be disputed.
9:25am magazine published story that store was closing without contacting Sears. That fact cannot be disputed.
Why do folks anonymously post comments about other sites and then claim Dyer disparages them?
I've never seen Dyer write about other sites in his articles. I only see anonymous people promoting them in the comment section.
When is the opening date? I WANT PIZZZAAAAAAA
"I've never seen Dyer write about other sites in his articles."
Are you kidding? He whines constantly about The Washington Post and how they wouldn't report on his nonexistent campaign.
12:28PM
Well, did they cover the At-Large race at all? I never saw a word published on it by the Post.
Seems like a legitimate topic to discuss. Democracy dies in darkness, right?
It's too tight for the area. We disagree it happens
6:29 - yes it is. Chick Fil-A should have put in a two lane drive thru. My point there is, had they done so, you wouldn't have that other strip of stores or the bank for that matter thus no nightmare.
6:39 - That chick fil A is on the low end of successful locations and I have that from a high up executive Atlanta with them. Doesn't matter much of course for us because it's jammed all the time. Thank God for their curb side service and app. I never and I mean never go in to that store anymore it's always packed
No one goes to that Chik-fil-A.
It's too crowded.
