McDonald's has dramatically scaled back its limited-time special menu items in recent months. After a holiday season which saw a Sugar Cookie Latte, Snickerdoodle McFlurry, and the return of Donut Sticks and the BBQ Bacon Burger, there was nothing new for January. No new lunch or dinner items have been introduced for February so far, either. But two new breakfast chicken sandwiches have been added to the morning menu.
The McChicken Biscuit is just about what it sounds like - the existing McDonald's Chicken Biscuit with the premium crispy chicken breast swapped out for a McChicken patty, with the addition of butter brushed onto the biscuit. Another simple item, Chicken McGriddles, puts a crispy chicken breast between two McGriddle pancakes.
You can get both sandwiches for only $3. Let's hope there is a new burger or dessert on the way soon, as well. McDonald's has been testing a new chicken sandwich it touts as a competitor to Chick-fil-A and Popeyes, but has not given it a nationwide release date yet.
