More incidents of crime there after the total redesign of that center than any year prior. I never, ever heard of anything happening at Westbard before now. That entire area should be avoided. The new Giant stinks anyway. The old layout was much better.

The neighborhood is stuck with the poorly designed garage for generations to come. They've added speed bumps and stop signs to the ramps on each level to try and make it safer to drive.

There had to be better examples of how to design garage ramps.

The increase in crime is concerning.

Shooting at bowling...cars broken in to during the day...all from people who dont live or eork around there...know cares or knows ....I would if I paid over a million for townhouse.........

The garage is poorly designed for ramp safety, head on collision hazards, but smartly designed for mugging, robbing and stealing.

You need a golf cart to get around inside the store.

Don't worry as we've been told from "official crime stats" that this is normal and we're just as safe now as we were in the last millennia. Then we'll get the Purple Line...

It is called rampage.

McCarthy noted that violent crime is up, especially carjacking, stolen vehicles and possession of weapons. “Those things are off the charts.”

4:41 Of course you must know that the Purple Line does not extend to Westbard, so all those evil doers will have to take an Uber from Bethesda to Westbard to commit their dastardly deeds. Once again, adding mass transit helps to reduce crime by offering better access to more affordable housing, better jobs and better access to higher education. I can keep this going as long as you want, or until you get over your fear of people that don’t look like you.

I checked out the new Wegmans in Rockville. I can see why the chain is possible. Unfortunately the cafe area is already being colonized by homeless. Not just down on their luck types but folks with a lot of interest in other folks doings. Regular customers will be harassed.

I take it that the County Police Cruiser shown arrived after the fact.

Overall, the crime rate in Montgomery, MD County is lower than the national average, but it is still important for the community to continue working towards a safer environment for all.
Crime is ranked on a scale of 1 (low crime) to 100 (high crime)

It might reduce crime in small non-notice numbers in the bad parts of PG county by doing what you say but it will increase crime in Bethesda by providing easier in and out access to criminals.

2:43 - It's always nice to hear from our elected officials in this blog site. Way to put the spin on it.

Don't believe your lying eyes because 2:43 aka drone mouthpiece for the council has declared it so. Face it, the only place where crime is absolutely down is DC, thanks to Trump. He's busy saving people liberals couldn't care less about.
