Copper thieves continue to mine a rich vein of the valuable metal at a townhome construction site near the Holy Cross School along Strathmore Avenue. Workers called Montgomery County police yesterday morning to report the latest theft. Police say the copper thieves removed copper pipes from multiple townhomes under construction at the site on Dulcet Drive and Academy Park Drive. It is believed that the theft took place between 4:00 PM on April 7, 2026 and 8:30 AM on April 8.

McCarthy doesn't have anything to do with criminal sentencing, nor the state guidelines for sentencing. And McCarthy himself has pushed for harsher sentencing guidelines, including when it comes to theft and fraud. If i was trying to make an exact WRONG sentence I couldn't have done as good a job as JAC.

And they have support of their elected officials to arrest & prosecute.
