Slap on the wrist McCarthy will see to it that there are no consequences.

Wait til the Purple Line opens. No matter what, that should have been killed by the governor and elected officials in Annapolis. Former MD gov, Bob Ehrlich was dead set against it and said Rapid Bus isn't sexy but we can afford it. Now they're going to do both? Unreal.

Meanwhile, major crimes are just listed on weekly reports.

Anonymous said...

Sure, we will always have such crime but it seems crimes against persons is way down for Summer/Fall since Nike moved away.

Purple Line will also serve Bethesda residents traveling to Silver Spring and points beyond such as University of Maryland. If you live in Bethesda and want to see a movie in IMAX at Regal Silver Spring or something at Silver Theater or the Fillmore.

2:37 should spare us the talking points which have been debunked and over. If you haven't seen what the PL tunnel off Wayne Ave looks like after dark, put your notes away and go exploring. Those characters are coming to Bethesda and unfortunately like the Red line these days, the PL will reek of weed.

Sponsored by your boy Hogan. You should be proud to be his hero.

Crime by Purple Line still a myth of the MAGA mind, and haters of another kind.

2:37. You left out the PipeLine will be a great way to retrieve our hijacked cars.

You say that as if JAC wouldn't faint while clutching her pearls if they found themselves in Silver Spring.

As a result, they are now scurrying to fix the resulting budget deficit:

That's is why he keeps getting reelected:
“We are seizing upon educational opportunities to go out and try to use education, not arrests. Not ‘lock them up’ kinds of things, because to me, if I can prevent crime, if I can prevent victimization, and I think through educational programs we can do all of those things, it would be a much safer community,” McCarthy said.

Yes, or you can get an uber there for $20 or drive directly today without the externalities that PL will bring.

Anonymous said...

LOL. Do you think any real Bethesdan is going to Silver Spring for entertainment? And the small chance one is, they aren't taking public transit.

Many of the people who perform blue collar service jobs in Bethesda and Chevy Chase (restaurants, hotels, etc etc) cannot afford to live in the areas in Montgomery County where they work. Living in PG county is a more affordable choice for these folks. The new Purple Line may make it easier for these people to get from home to work, ultimately to the benefit of the people who live in Montgomery County.

A said...

@2:37 the weirdos here don’t care about the benefits, they just want any excuse to spout off nonsense dogwhistles.

Anonymous said...

@7:56 You guys have seen to that by making midnight deals with developers to bring "affordable" 1M+ Townhomes.

Your planning has gone so well for DTSS! Take an evening stroll after 8/9pm down Fenton St towards Sligo Ave past the beautiful library which is now homeless central. Wayne Ave just past Sligo Creek Parkway near the new PL tunnel can be exciting as well. Flower Ave at Piney Branch Road should be where you can have new experiences in those evening hours. Having had years of living/working there, I would say you know nothing about DTSS let alone Illegals and crime.

A said...

@7:34 well that’s irrefutable proof that you don’t take the Red Line. Maybe it’s your upper lip?

@7:33 you are aware of the Fillmore, correct? The concert hall that is more often than not packed to the brim?

A said...

More purple line and DTSS dogwhistles, as usual.

4:09 more denial of facts, stats, and direct correlation not to mention artful ignorance and disinggenuity.

Anonymous said...

@4:05/4:09 Are you seriously this obtuse? Take 12:16's advice for an evening stroll instead of "the Filmore" and let us know how it goes.

A said...

@12:46 struck a nerve, did I? :(

A said...

@4:44 did that before. Reality doesn’t fit in with the fearmongering and dogwhistles. Sorry to disappoint you :(

Anonymous said...

So 9:43 is actually this obtuse. Self awareness isn't your strong suit.

Anonymous said...

It will dwarf The Oklahoma Gold Rush!

Anonymous said...

Actually 9:42 doesn't strike any nerves because commentary from a leftist propaganda monger is inconsequential. Followed your non-answers in the last two long threads and you never answered any of the questions relating to Illegals committing more murders by a factor of 4 in Fairfax County or the pardon of a convicted pedophile by Walz in MN. Calling those facts made up lies when anyone can Google it makes you look like exactly who we think you are.

Head on down Philadelphia Ave towards NH, Monterrey's Sisrer City for an eyeopener..

A said...

@11:48 look, I know you need to invent fictional scenarios where you’re the victim to justify your fear, but you really should try getting out more.

Anonymous said...

8:54 has the typical Karen response trying to accuse others of exactly what she's doing. Now I understand why you won't answer why Illegals have committed all the murders in Fairfax County this year except 2 and why you support Walz pardoning a convicted illegal child pedophile.

Pro Tip: It's not fiction when a simple search reveals multiple data points.

@4:05 Now we know who doesn't ride the Red line but perhaps it's because your constant use of weed has desensitized your olfactory senses. At Metro Center where normal people change trains, there have been multiple complaints about the smell of weed as told by one of the transit workers.

I guess this explains why "A" can't make real arguments.

Anonymous said...

@9:43 You don't even lie well. The Filmore isn't even close to the areas this council doesn't care about. Typical liberal who walks in the nice part of town and declares the entire area safe. Spend some time on the other side of Fenton after dark and then up Wayne Ave before you start spouting off BS.

Anonymous said...

@7:34 Totally agree about the weed on the Red Line. You're lucky you don't ride it down from Glenmont. BTW, the J2 is actually much faster, not to mention Billions cheaper, from SS to Bethesda and it does occasionally reek from a passenger but not as prevalent as the Metro.

A said...

@4:33 darling, you’re trying to use words you don’t understand, and it’s not working. Way to prove for the bajillionth time that you can’t read. <3

@2:35 I have spent time there. Again, reality doesn’t reflect your victim complex. <3

Anonymous said...

@9:59 Still defending the indefensible but you're on display for the Karen that we know you to be. Not a good look protecting illegal pedophiles but here you are.

@9:06 honey, I don’t know how to sugarcoat this for you, but you’re just boring. Find some new lies to peddle. <3

@8:23 hmm, looks like I definitely struck a nerve. Womp womp

@3:02 There is a word for people like you; enabler. Denying crimes to make a political statement is just sad. 37 years old and has learned nothing of moral value.

3:02 has no answers for her positions protecting those who can't protect themselves.

A said...

@4:40 funny as I was literally on the red line yesterday and didn’t smell a single whiff of weed. At least try to make your lies and dogwhistles more believable.

Anonymous said...

A is exactly who we think she is.

Anonymous said...

@3:22 Put down the waterpipe and get back to reality. Your one data point on Sunday is hilarious. Most working people who ride it twice a day, five days a week know differently. I guess the nepo-baby gets to ride it for recreation.

A said...

@5:54 praying for your speedy recovery 🙏

A said...

@5:06 oh no, she built another straw man :(

@10:17 thank you for using my preferred pronouns :) that’s very woke of you!

Anonymous said...

@1::27 True projection.

Anonymous said...

@1:29 Does it hurt to be this obtuse? Try speaking up for citizens instead of pedophiles and illegals.

A said...

@2:55 she doesn’t know 😮

A said...

@4:52 get well soon! <3

A said...

I don’t think @9:47 has completed their reading comprehension lessons.

Anonymous said...

@7:24 get help because the fact that you can't smell weed on the metro just means your use is chronic.

Anonymous said...

@4:00 "Think" is the operative word here and sad that 37 years have gone by with minimal input.

A said...

@5:50 definitely behind on the homework.

A said...

@5:01 she definitely doesn’t know 😔

@12:34 So do you plan some remedial work to bring yourself up to GED standards?

I don't think 3:58's TDS is ever going to let the nepo-baby get better.
