Blue Bell Salon & Spa moving in Bethesda

Blue Bell Salon & Spa has moved out of its space at 7718 Woodmont Avenue in the Lionsgate condominiums. It is currently operating out of a temporary space at 4964 Fairmont Avenue, in the Amor Studios in the ground floor of the Cheval condo tower, until a new location is ready. Services offered by Blue Bell include designer haircuts and styling, hair highlights, balayage, color, color correction, facial treatments, acne treatments, anti-aging, body waxing, facial waxing & threading, eyelash extension, microblading and "celebrity makeup artistry." The new permanent location has not been announced yet, but is going to be one block away.

Framarini's opening in downtown Bethesda

Framarini's is coming soon to 4931 Cordell Avenue in the Brown Building in downtown Bethesda. The barber shop is expected to open next month. "Framarini's is a modern yet traditional barbershop catering to men of all ages," the shop said in a statement. "We offer high-quality haircuts, beard trims, shaves, and grooming services in a welcoming and stylish environment. Our goal is to create a go-to grooming experience that builds customer loyalty and community engagement. Where we cut above the rest."

Plane Jane Salon temporarily closes after employee tests positive for Covid-19

Plane Jane Salon at 4864 Rugby Avenue announced it would be temporarily closing yesterday after one of its staff members tested positive for Covid-19. The closure will last until test results have been returned for each of the rest of the staff. Since all employees were wearing masks inside the salon, they believe there is minimal risk that anyone else has caught it from the infected employee. The salon said it is contacting clients who were directly exposed to the employee in question.
