The future Brickside Food and Drink restaurant, located on Cordell Avenue, has installed a permanent sign near the front staircase. It appears to potentially have some form of illumination.
Coincidentally, later yesterday, the Washington Post's normally Bethesda-averse food critic Tom Sietsema posted a somewhat premature announcement of the restaurant on the Post's website. While readers here have known about Brickside for months, one wonders what motivated Sietsema to get so amped about a Bethesda restaurant. Particularly one not opening until December. Maybe he's coming around, and realizing Bethesda does have 5-star restaurants.
Still putting my vote in for Funnel Fries on the Brickside menu.

"COMING SOON" SIGNS GO UP AT BRICKSIDE FOOD AND DRINK
EXCLUSIVE PHOTOS!
Renovation continues at the future location of Brickside Food and Drink on Cordell Avenue. These signs were just put up on the front of the restaurant.
If anyone is listening, I'm casting another vote to have Funnel Cake Fries on the menu - Funnel Fries! (The owner has them on the menu at his other restaurant).

BRICKSIDE FRONT PORCH DECK IS TAKING SHAPE ON CORDELL AVENUE
Big construction news from the future location of Brickside Food and Drink on Cordell Avenue: the new Bethesda restaurant is building a front porch deck onto the building front.
Even in this primitive form, you can tell what a huge improvement this is. It's creating a nice new outdoor dining space.
I'm still hoping the Funnel Fries make the menu there.
What do you think of this deck so far?

This already looks like a nice place to dine outdoors, with city lights views |
