A pop-up store has opened in the vacant My Eye Dr. space at 7254 Woodmont Avenue at Bethesda Row. Knits etc! is offering a selection of women's apparel. You may recall they had a pop-up shop at Bethesda Row before, on Bethesda Avenue.

Knits, Etc. closes on Bethesda Avenue (Photos)
An apparent pop-up shop went poof Monday at Bethesda Row. Knits, Etc., which had just returned to the Row in late September, has cleared out its space at 4808 Bethesda Avenue.
Previously home to jewelry boutique Amethyst, the space was hosting Knits Etc. in its second stint at Bethesda Row. Knits had previously closed its original Bethesda Avenue store in 2012.

KNITS, ETC. IS CLOSING AT BETHESDA ROW
Bethesda Row boutique Knits, Etc. has announced it is closing.
I can't tell you what this portends for civilization as a whole, because I've never actually heard any woman mention the place. I've never been inside. Men are not exactly their target demographic.
But it's unlikely many women heard of it either, as a Google search turned up no website or Facebook for the shop. Along with the combined rating of 1 star on Yelp, perhaps the closure was inevitable.
Have you ever patronized Knits, Etc.? Are you going to miss the store? Post a comment and let others know.
