Here's another sneak preview of Silver, the new restaurant from the Silver Diner owners opening September 22 in the Flats at Bethesda Avenue luxury apartments. This is the best and most detailed look yet at the finished dining room. There is even a list of some of the local farms where the ingredients are coming from on the wall.

First look: Silver restaurant in Bethesda (Photos)
Here's sneak peek inside the nearly-finished Silver restaurant on Woodmont Avenue, in the ground floor of the Flats at Bethesda Avenue luxury apartments. Like neighbor PassionFish, Silver is scheduled to open in September. It is the latest venture from the owners of the Silver Diner chain. This is a preview of what you can expect:

Bethesda construction update: Silver restaurant (Photos)
Progress continues on the interior of the future Silver restaurant, located in the ground floor of the Flats at Bethesda Avenue luxury apartments. The sign was removed from the facade, and then reinstalled, for unknown reasons. But it looks great now that it is lit, as well as the lighted trim and accents across the exterior.

Another Bethesda construction update: Silver restaurant (Photos)
I have another exciting construction update for you this morning. This comes from diagonally across Woodmont Avenue from PassionFish - Silver, in the ground floor of the Flats at Bethesda Avenue luxury apartments.
Like its neighbor PassionFish, Silver is also planning on a September opening. Silver will be open for most of the day, true to its upscale diner roots. Also like PassionFish, the interior has come a long way here, too. What would a diner be without booths? And here they are. Light fixtures and wall tile are also in place.

Silver restaurant opens employment office on Bethesda Ave. (Photos)
You might be forgiven for thinking Silver had opened yesterday on Woodmont Avenue. Outdoor dining tables were outside on the sidewalk patio space, despite the fact the restaurant isn't opening until September.
What's really going on, is they are interviewing prospective employees around the corner at 4733 Bethesda Avenue. There they have established a temporary recruitment center in a JBG-owned retail space. But at least we got a preview of what the outdoor patio furniture may look like when Silver opens in the Flats at Bethesda Avenue.
Here's the news I broke a couple of days ago on the interior design and menus for Silver, in case you missed it.

New renderings of Silver restaurant in Bethesda + menus (Photos)
You can get the first look at the interior of Silver, a new concept from the local, upscale Silver Diner chain opening in the Flats at Bethesda Avenue in September, in a new image gallery on their website. The design hints at the lines of a classic diner interior here and there, but mostly presents a higher-end atmosphere in line with its luxury apartment building home.
The first details on the various menus that will be available throughout the day are also online. Check out what you'll be able to order for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They've also got special brunch and late-night menus, as well as a kids menu.
Trying to decide between quiche at Paul Bakery, or Bison Huevos Rancheros at Silver, for breakfast will indeed be a First World problem of the highest order. Silver will also bring another much-needed breakfast and late-night dining option to downtown Bethesda. Their Rockville location stays open until 3:00 AM on weekend nights.
Silver is now hiring for those job seekers with culinary or hospitality aspirations.

New signage at Silver as The Flats lights up on Bethesda Ave. (Photos)
More signage and trim has been added to the exterior and windows at the future Silver restaurant on Woodmont Avenue in Bethesda. A website is listed, but had no content as of press time other than a "coming soon" message promising "Bethesda's newest dining experience."
Meanwhile, Silver's home, The Flats at Bethesda Avenue, gave more of a sense last night as to what it will look like after dark. New accent lighting on the facade and rooftop were lit, and workers were putting the finishing touches on the already-open Pottery Barn Kids exterior.

Silver restaurant begins installing signage in Bethesda
Silver, a new concept from the Silver Diner Development group, has begun installing the permanent signage outside its future Bethesda location. The restaurant will be at 7150 Woodmont Avenue, in The Flats at Bethesda Avenue apartments.
The letters installed appear to be frames for an eventual lighted element.
As you can see, there's still quite a ways to go on the interior of the restaurant.
