Custom menswear retailer Indochino has opened at 4856 Bethesda Avenue at Bethesda Row. The formerly online-focused clothier offers shirts, suits, accessories and wedding collections. This is their second D.C.-area location, with the first being in Tysons. As the store says, "Suit Up Bethesda!"

Ministry of Supply coming to Bethesda Row
The working men of Bethesda are about to get a wardrobe upgrade. A suit coat you can throw in the washing machine? Businesswear that is easy to stuff in your suitcase? A dress shirt that utilizes NASA temperature-control technology? Welcome to the Ministry of Supply, coming soon to Bethesda Row.
Named after the British government's pre-1959 military equipment department, Ministry of Supply specializes in performance businesswear that is easy to maintain, and comfortable during and after work. The venture was founded by 3 students at MIT. Much like another disrupting menswear shop at Bethesda Row, Bonobos, Ministry of Supply started online and is now moving into bricks and mortar. Bethesda will be one of the lucky few places to have them; they have existing stores in the District, San Francisco and Boston.
Prices are mid-to-upper range. You can pick up their Daystarter Kit, which includes everything you need for the office minus shoes and a tie (if you have to wear a tie), for $640. I definitely want to investigate suit coats that don't require expensive dry cleaning to maintain.
Ministry of Supply will take over the former Tugooh Toys space at 4823 Bethesda Avenue.

BONOBOS OPENS AT WESTFIELD MONTGOMERY MALL IN BETHESDA (PHOTOS)
The second Bethesda location of Bonobos is now open, inside Westfield Montgomery Mall. Bonobos specializes in men's trousers, with the selling point of providing a better fit than the typical khakis, corduroys and Dockers you pull off the racks at department stores. But they also have everything from suits to sweaters to belts and other accessories. You can try their apparel on to get the right fit, but your order will ship to your home after it is placed at the store.

BONOBOS TO OPEN IN FORMER URBAN CHIC SPACE AT BETHESDA ROW! EXCLUSIVE!
FINALLY, A STORE
FOR GUYS AT
BETHESDA ROW!
Another Robert Dyer @ Bethesda Row Exclusive
Breaking news: The just-closed Urban Chic boutique space on Bethesda Lane is being filled by men's clothing store Bonobos!
I've gone on the record here a few times about the lack of retailers for men around the Row, so it's great to hear there's finally fashion news for us guys around here.
What is Bonobos? A chain men's apparel company that invented something all of us need: pants that actually fit properly. Then they took their pants - such as the essential washed chino - and added other name brand apparel and accessories, so that you can put together a complete outfit.
Anyway, this is just the beginning of the Bonobos story at Bethesda Row, so stay tuned for further updates, and enjoy the Bethesda Row Arts Festival.
