The US Postal Service is holding a public meeting tonight at the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Services Center, at 4805 Edgemoor Lane, regarding the new post office that will be located in the 20816 zip code of Bethesda.
It is unclear exactly what the agenda is, or whether the public will be allowed to speak.
The meeting will begin at 6:30 PM, on the 2nd Floor, in Room D.
What's won't be much of a surprise, is that the post office will be located in either Westwood Center II, or The Shops at Sumner Place. Because, unless a private business along MacArthur Boulevard is redeveloped as a post office, those 2 shopping centers are the only places with vacancies at the moment.

If it isn't going to be in downtown Bethesda, why bother? There is a post office by Montgomery Mall, one in Potomac, and two in Cabin John/Glen Echo. Isn't that more than enough? No wonder USPS is losing so much money...
I go to the post office about once a week, including all the ones you mentioned. Glen Echo and Cabin John suffer from understaffing = long lines. Montgomery Mall is too far from downtown Bethesda. The current downtown Bethesda location lacks adjacent free parking, is on a congested road, and lacks a drive-up mailbox.
@ anonymous #2 - Seriously, you go to the post office once a week? It is the 21st century, find something else to do to waste time. If Glen Echo and Cabin John are understaffed, transfer the Wisconsin Ave staff to those two locations. And Montgomery Mall is too far from downtown Bethesda. Really???
Yes, I go to the post office once a week because USPS regulations require that international Express Mail letters must be handed to a clerk instead of dropped in a mailbox.
If you can suggest a route from downtown Bethesda to Montgomery Mall at 4pm on a weekday that takes less than 15 minutes, I'm all ears. Fernwood, Bradley, River, and Old Georgetown all get backed up. I've tried.
