ONE NATION, UNDER DOG IN BETHESDA - WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THIS? (PHOTOS)

One of the strangest things I've noticed recently, is the flag that has been raised high atop the Peripoint Building, at the intersection of Wilson Lane and Old Georgetown Road.

Click to enlarge these photos, and zoom in, if necessary.

You will notice the flag waving over the building features a dog.

What is this about, or is it just an attention-getter/conversation starter?

If it is, it worked.

Who cares? Slow news day?

Actually, a lot of people cared. It was a popular post this week. This is a hyperlocal blog, not the New York Times. Slow news day? The garage collapsed at Montgomery Mall the same day!

Why don't you ask the Washington Post and Gazette why they didn't cover the Montgomery County BRT public hearing, the biggest news story of the week? Or the Verizon utility work causing traffic jams? Sounds like the Post Co. just isn't covering MoCo anymore, and you should be just as diligent in criticizing them, where the criticism would actually be justified.
