Bistro LaZeez, located at 8009 Norfolk Avenue in Bethesda, has been shut down by the Montgomery County health department. The restaurant has been closed for at least a week, but an official County notice appeared on the front of the building yesterday, forbidding Bistro LaZeez from serving food or beverages until further notice. It is dated February 8, 2018.
While health inspection records show inspectors found "critical violations" of the County health code inside the restaurant last fall, they also show that those violations had been corrected. There is no indication of why the restaurant has been closed recently, nor what the health department's reason was for now shutting it down.

Um, they're done.
Now...why would anybody every return to that restaurant?
Fool me once......
Weeeellllllll...if you have a gander at MoCo food licensing inspection reports, which are conveniently found free of charge on the Interwebz, you see the violations were protecting food from contaminants, and food cold-storage temperature.
If you did that. Of course.
Time to post the letter ranking like NYC. Get with it MOCO.
The letter system is a great idea and NYC'ers live by it. Lower grade, lower business. Period.
1:27 PM After a spate of false retail closure stories from Bethesda Magazine (Sears and Payless at Montgomery Mall alone), no thanks. Hopefully the next pair of interns do better next semester.
I'll never understand why otherwise decent people are willing to sacrifice their own integrity for a blog writer who would throw them under the bus in a heartbeat tomorrow if he thought it would malign the county council.
